I believe in the power of silence. Once a man was asking Ramnana Maharishi what he should do to attain greatness. Even as Ramana keptquiet the man went on persisting. Ramana opened his mouth and pointing to a tree nearby and said " you come like that tree. This indeed is an apt example for achieving through silence.

Your feedback is very focused. You have brought out a very valid point namely; that talk is usually employed to sugar coat & distort communication to achieve a personal agenda rather than to convey meaningful information or perception. It is only in stillness of our senses we are able to wean out inner meanings and establish meaningful communication. This is the reason when two lovers meet there is usually more silence and hand holding than talk.

Talking is often a torment for me. I need silence to recover from the futility of words.These are indeed the true side of spoken language and words. I have often felt we have to develop truer and soulful mode of communication than language verbal.Moreover deep down in our hearts there is this immaculate silence just lying frozen.We are rather scared to face its depth and resort to speech as an escape.We shall attain maturity and deeper meaning of our lives only when we dare to allot time for silence.
